Ingredients

For the Bibimbap:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 200g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup spinach, blanched and chopped
  • 1 cup bean sprouts, blanched
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 zucchini, julienned
  • 4 mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Add the beef slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté the carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms separately until tender. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the marinated beef until browned and cooked through.
  5. Fry the eggs to your liking, with runny yolks preferred.
  6. Divide the cooked rice into two bowls.
  7. Arrange the spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, and beef on top of the rice.
  8. Place a fried egg on top of each bowl.
  9. Add a dollop of gochujang and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  10. Serve the Bibimbap hot, mixing all the ingredients together before eating.
